Critical Performance Issue – Unplayable FPS in Gameplay (Mac)

I am writing to report a severe performance issue that has made the game completely unplayable for me, ultimately forcing me to abandon it before finishing.

The Problem

The game runs perfectly fine on the main menu — no frame rate issues whatsoever. However, the moment I enter any in-game level or mission, the frame rate immediately drops to between 5 and 15 FPS and stays there throughout. This is not an isolated incident limited to a specific level or a particularly demanding scene; it happens consistently across every part of the game I attempted to play.

What makes this especially frustrating is that the problem persists even at the absolute lowest graphic settings available. I went through every option in the settings menu — resolution, texture quality, shadows, draw distance — and reduced everything to minimum. The frame rate did not improve in any meaningful way.

This hardware is more than capable of running modern titles smoothly, which strongly suggests the issue lies in the game's optimization rather than my system's performance capabilities.

Impact

Due to the unplayable frame rate, I was unable to progress through the game and eventually had to give up entirely. This is deeply disappointing, as I was genuinely looking forward to the experience.

Is There a Workaround?

While I understand that a proper fix will likely require a patch, I wanted to ask whether there are any known workarounds or configuration tweaks that could help in the meantime — such as launch parameters, config file edits, or any other steps that might improve performance on Apple Silicon hardware with the current version of the game. I would greatly appreciate any guidance your support team could offer.

I sincerely hope the team is able to investigate this performance issue and address it in an upcoming patch. A game that drops to single-digit FPS under all graphic settings on capable hardware points to a fundamental optimization problem that affects a significant portion of your player base. I would be happy to provide additional information, logs, or run any diagnostics if that would help your team identify the root cause.
